Janani Pradeep
Her engagement with this precious traditional art continued in India - the Home of Natyam after she moved to Chennai to pursue her higher studies. With the support of her Guru Smt. Shobanaa Bhalchandra, family and friends, she continued to practice and deliver great performances. She had done many stage performances with renowned artists' productions like Smt. Uma Muralitharan, Smt. Lakshmi Ramaswami, Thiru. Madurai R. Muralitharan etc. She has also done many solo as well as group recitals with famous troops as a professional dancer. Her interest in learning and trying new things makes her to follow other dance styles too, She knows basics of Kuchupudi, Classical Ballet and many more to come.
The love for her passion drives her to learn more in this field and to deliver a quality teaching for her students.
Janani Pradeep, started her career in Bharatanatyam at the age of five. She is an ardent student of Smt. Shobanaa Bhalchandra. Guru Smt. Shobanaa helped Janani to discover her own potential and perfected herself in every endeavour. Janani is born and brought up in Sri Lanka. At a very young age, she captured many hearts through her abhinaya and dived deep into the characters of the art of dancing.
With the gift of passion and enthusiasm she performed many public dance programmes and television shows while in primary and secondary school. Janani took her early dance training under Smt.Vasugi Muhunthan , Smt. Shiyama Thayaalan and Smt.Vasugi Jegatheeswaran.
Janani achieved many awards in Bharatanatyam. She has won two gold and a silver medals in all-island solo dance competition organised by Ministry of Education of Sri Lanka in her early age. Also she displayed her talents in a dance competition (shruthi-laya-abhinaya) organised by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Sri Lanka by winning first place. She has completed her grade 4 (out of 6) on the dance Examination conducted by North Ceylon Oriental Music Society which is a standard authority for Bharatanatyam examinations.
